I am recently divorced. Do I need to update my estate planning or does the divorce cancel out the Will that I had created when I was married?

No. A divorce does not cancel out a Will. You will need to have new estate planning created. If you do not update the documents, then your ex-spouse and any other parties named as beneficiaries, executors, agents, trustees or guardians in your documents will still have that authority upon your death. If you have children with your ex-spouse, it is even more critical that you update your estate planning to reflect these changes.
